Hello families! Welcome to the first full week of school!

We will have a very busy week as we start curriculum. We will begin with the Scientific Method in Science, The Landbridge Theory in Social Studies, Inferences in ELA, and Place Value in Math!

Students will be coming home with homework in Math this week. They will also have to study some concepts for Science on Thursday Night.

As a reminder please check their agendas for the color they received that day in class along with any notes I may have written. Students will earn Killian Bucks for having their agendas signed which will allow them to buy things from my class store and the school store! Please also look out for Thursday folders. This will have all their graded work for the following week along with any important papers that need to be signed and returned back to school. Students will also earn money for bringing their folders back in on time as well.

Looking Ahead:

Monday: Begin Place Value, Chromebook overview, introduction to Ms. Raley who will help us with writing workshop throughout the year.

Tuesday: Begin Landbridge Theory, review of Scientific Method, and review of Place Value.

Wednesday: Begin writing workshop

Thursday: Communication folders go home, Study Scientific Method, Landbridge Theory, and Place Value.

Friday: Quiz in Math, Science, and Social Studies (extra credit will be given)

***I have a few students who have not gotten their RUP's signed. If it is not signed students can not use their Chromebooks in class. Please do this as soon as possible. If you are not sure how to do it please come up to the school to complete it or call the front desk.

I hope everyone has a fabulous week! Please feel free to email me with any questions.

Warmly,

-A. Mann

Welcome Back to School Fourth Graders!

I am so glad to have every single one of your students in my class this school year!

For this first week we will be doing many community building activities! We will be getting to know not only the teacher but each other as well. We will also have a town hall meeting for our fourth graders on Wednesday to discuss school wide expectations.

In class we will be going over procedures to insure that we have the best learning environment as possible! I will be sending home information on Thursday in their communication folders. This will give you a little information about myself and how the class will be run. It will also have all my contact information in case you need to speak with me!

Monday: No School

Tuesday: First Day of School/ Communication folders going home with important info.

Wednesday: Community building activities/ Expectations in the classroom

Thursday: Communication folders will go home with my information inside.

Friday: Cookie Dough Assembly

I look forward to a wonderful year. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns!
